Isabella leads Aldworth & Wren’s coverage of the private capital ecosystem — the private equity, infrastructure, credit, and venture firms themselves, and increasingly the senior leadership of their portfolio companies.
The pattern of her engagements has shifted markedly over the last three years. Where private equity firms once outsourced most portfolio company leadership search to specialists, the most considered firms now bring those engagements to a small number of trusted advisors. Aldworth & Wren is one of those, and Isabella’s portfolio reflects it — perhaps half of her work each year is now on portfolio company appointments rather than fund-level hires.
Before joining A&W in 2021, Isabella spent seven years at Russell Reynolds Associates as a partner in the Private Equity practice. She read History at Cambridge and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
