Edward founded Aldworth & Wren in 2012 with a thesis that has since defined the firm — that the most senior search work is best done by a small group of partners who do the work themselves, on a fully retained basis, with the time and discipline that genuine board-level appointments require.
He has led Chair and Chief Executive searches for more than forty FTSE companies over the course of his career, and continues to take a focused number of engagements each year personally. His longest client relationships now span three or more CEO transitions at the same business.
Before founding A&W, Edward spent fifteen years at Spencer Stuart and Heidrick & Struggles, latterly leading the UK Industrial practice at the latter. He read History at Cambridge and is a Trustee of the Garfield Weston Foundation.
